“Today, I was able to gain a tremendous amount of design inspiration while touring the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens.
Throughout recorded history, gardens have played an essential role in classical texts and paintings. Many historical figures have visited gardens to find peace and inspiration, to pray and meditate and even to contemplate the future. Famously, in the Christian text Christ entered the Garden of Gethsemane at the foot of the Mount of Olives with his disciples to pray the night before his crucifixion.
As a Garden Designer, I’ve always been enamored by flowers, trees and shrubs. I am continually awed by their ability to create a place of solace, meditation and healing. Order and placement in the garden is essential for creating positive experiences for residents and their guests.
I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed touring the Botanical Gardens in Dallas.”
